At the heart of our expertise is Debbie, a highly experienced childcare and early years specialist with a career spanning over 40 years.
Safeguarding is at the core of everything Debbie does. She mentors nannies, nursery practitioners, early years settings, and activity leaders to deliver high-quality, safe, and enriching experiences.
Debbie began as a nanny and later progressed in the nursery sector, becoming Room Senior and Deputy Manager, where she played a key role in redesigning a closed nursery, creating an environment with safeguarding at the centre of every decision.

Debbie founded Savernake Nannies, an award-winning agency focused on professional standards and safeguarding. She has advised the British Association of Professional Nannies (BAPN) and played an active role in the Regulation Matters Campaign (RM Campaign), which highlighted the lack of regulation in the UK nanny sector. The campaign has now closed, but Debbie continues to champion safeguarding and high standards across the sector.

Debbie mentors and advises practitioners, nannies, and activity leaders, including those running baby massage classes, play cafés, and messy play groups. She guides professionals to:

• Develop their professional knowledge and skills

Yesterday I had a wonderful consultation with Debbie, discussing my messy play business. We met in a local cafe & over 2 hours & a lovely cuppa, discussed so much. The whole consultation was great, I came out with a list of helpful things I could do & felt like the whole morning had been so
